Project Outputs

We believe in sharing what we create — reports, best practices, and newsletters — so that everyone can benefit. From research outputs and public-facing reports to project updates, these materials reflect the journey of In Loco and invite you to explore what we have discovered and learned.

  • Local Report from Focus Group Discussions

This report gathers insights from focus groups held in 11 European territories, where newcomers and professionals explored barriers and enablers to local integration. Covering key areas like housing, health, education, and employment, it highlights shared challenges — from language and bureaucracy to limited access to services — and offers community-based perspectives to guide more inclusive local policies across Europe.

  • Newcomers and Decision-Makers & Professionals Training

This training connects newcomers and professionals to foster trust and collaboration in communities. Guided by the CARE principles — Capable, Approachable, Reasonable, and Equal — it includes two strands: one for decision-makers and professionals to counter bias and promote inclusion, and another empowering newcomers to strengthen self-advocacy and leadership.

  • In Loco Newsletter #1 – July 2025

This first edition highlights the main milestones and recent activities of the In Loco project, including updates on trainings with newcomers and decision-makers, findings from local focus groups, and identified good practices in the field. It also shares reflections from the team, useful resources, and news about events and collaborations, providing a comprehensive view of the work carried out and the impact achieved so far.

  • Manual of Best Practices

This manual brings together examples of promising local practices identified through the In Loco project. It showcases initiatives that successfully address integration challenges and promote the social and civic participation of newcomers across Europe. Each example offers practical insights for local authorities, civil society, and community actors, serving as inspiration for policies and actions that make inclusion more effective and sustainable.
